Thanks for all the advice, I'm just going to keep trying. Thanks Kim, I will try the tupperware one and see where I get, I have mainly tried sippy cups with soft spouts. My work schedule isnt too bad, I dont go in until 2 most days and am typically done by 8, except for a night or 2 which may be as late as 10. I have already been back to work once when he was 2 months old and he took the bottle then but then stopped taking it around 3 months, at this point my sitter or husband was able to bring him to my work to be breastfed, but I feel asking this is too much and is going to get my son way off schedule. I have been off work for about the last 6 weeks and it begins again on July 30th, Im an athletic trainer at a high school, so my work schedule goes along with whatever the athletic schedule is at the school.

Hmm... Talked to my sister, and she said she finally found a sippy cup by Tupperware with a firm spout, and that was finally what stuck. The spouts are hard plastic, rather than soft, so they hold their shape even if your LO gnaws on it. You'll have to let your day care know these cups aren't as good with holding in spills, so they'll have to keep an eye on him, but at least he'll be eating. :)

Let us know how this goes, best of luck. :)

Have you tried leaving and having someone other than you give your baby a bottle. How long will you be away at work for? You may find that your baby reverse cycles and doesn't really feed during the day but waits for you to get home from work.

yes I am putting breast milk in the bottles, we have tried numerous bottles and nipples. Its more frustrating because he was taking one until he was 3 months old and then refused it. We are now attempting sippy cups but he bites at the spout and doesnt suck so its more like a teethin gtoy to him. I just dont know what else to do, any advice is appreciated!

Oh, Kellie, I feel your pain. When my exclusively breastfeeding sister returned to work, her LO also would not take a bottle. My niece would have been right around 6 months as well. First, how long have you been trying to bottle-feed her? Are you exclusively trying to bottle-feed, or are you also breastfeeding as well? And finally, what bottles have you tried thus far?

Take a deep, calming breath, by the way. Babies are smart, but they don't tend to like change. They do, however, adjust eventually. :)
