I am having. a hard time with my 6 month old. he wakes up a lot during the night. he isually goes down for bed at 7:30-8. After that he wakes up every 2-3 hours until waking up for good around 6:30-7. When he wakes up at night he wants to eat. He mostly nurses, eats solids 2-3 times a day, and occassionally has a bottle or two during the day. He is in the 60% for weight. He slept in. our room until a few weeks ago . I thought maybr he was waking up so much cause he could hear us. The first two nights in his own room he slept from 8ish until 4am which i was way excited about. After that it was back to normal. When he wakes up the only way to get him to calm down is to nurse him. I have tried sticking a binkie in and patting his back, picking him up and cuddling, and CIO. CIO did NOT work. My husband insists thats what i need to do, but. I have tried. One night he cried. for an hour and a half. i felt like tthe worst mother in the world. Oh and I shoulld mention he doesnt cry, he SCREAMS! CIO worked with my older son. One time, problem solved.. My baby also takes two naps one in am one in afternoon. They last 1-3 hrs. Also, he wont let anyone put him to sleep but me. He will also not fall asleep on his own. after weeks if trying to get him to do so, i finally jad enough and now just nurse to sleep. My three yr old gets upset when baby cries. Any help/advice?

I should add that he is generally a very happy baby. He smiles and laughs all Tue time. I am a stay at home mom, but with two kids and a husband pretty much gone m-f, I am exhausted. I am the only one taking care of him. I do not expect my husband to get up at night with him because 1) he works 60 hrs a week and 2) my baby knows when it isn't me and I would end up doing it anyway.
