Hi, I have 6 months old daughter and I have started her on solids since about 4 months on doctors advice. She only ate some rice cereal in the bottle than. Now at 6 months I started her on feeding solids from the spoon. Rice cereal in the morning and now adding some fruit and veggies. The problem is she refuses to drink formula and the feeding time is a struggle and frustrating time for both of us. First bottle she has around lunch time drinks maybe 4 oz than 4pm, 7pm and last midnight. All she has in a day is 16-18 oz of formula and small portions of rice cereal 2 times a day. She also seems very gassy. I give her probiotik every day. I would appreciate any help and advice on what to do.. xx

thank you,
that is what my mom said too.
So I will try it right away. I dont want her to become dehydrated. I breast-feed for 3 months than formula. She was never a big eater. I guess some kids are not.

I'd stop the solids completely (especially if it's still in the bottle) until she is drinking the amount of formula she was drinking before starting the solids... and then reintroduce just a tiny amount of solids, slowly, and after a bottle.

Formula (or breast milk) is supposed to make up most of a child's diet under a year. Solids are just for fun, tastes, and experience, so if solids are replacing her formula already at 6 months... a change needs to happen.

That's what 'I' would do and why. :)
