Tell your doctor to relax and try again with solids in a week or so. You can't make her eat them if she's not ready. There's no rush so I would not be concerned. Some doctors are just too darn pushy!

When I first introduced solids to my son, it was mostly breast milk with a little bit of rice cereal....but it was mostly liquid. Slowly, over several days, I would thicken it up a little. Don't try too much at once. Just getting the idea of a spoon is a big leap. If you are not nursing but using formula, then mix the formula with a little bit of cereal.
