7 levels of crazy over potty training...

Can SOMEONE help with potty training ideas?!?!? I've tried it ALL, and I mean it ALL! Nothing, NOTHING is working with my daughter who will be 3 in September. Rewards, taking things away, pull-ups, training pants, "potty boot camp", naked in the house, etc., etc, She was at a day camp this summer who used a training pants method...nada. I'll sit her on the potty, then the MINUTE she gets off the potty...she pees or poops in her underpants. I am tired of changing what are essentially adult poopy diapers. I am 7 levels of crazy over this. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!

Nikki is right. I found that with my daughter, the more frustrated and angry I got, the more accidents and purposeful "accidents" happened. I took a step back and a deep breath then wiped the slate clean. In my case, I started a brand new sticker chart and didn't let the accidents get to me. It also helped that the life issues that were really causing my frustration and anxiety had let up.

She is still working on it, but she surprising me while we are out when she asks to use the potty and has a dry diaper.

I give her one sticker for using the potty and two for doing it all on her own (not being reminded). Poop also gets two stickers. When she fills her chart she gets to pick out a book from the bookstore.

Maybe she is not ready. It sounds like you are putting a lot of emphasis and she could be using it against you. Toilet training should only ever be a positive experience. I would just take a break from it for a few weeks. When you get back to it just encourage her, praise her when she goes to the toilet, if she has an accident remind her nicely that wees and poos go in the toilet.
