My 7 month old baby is not drinking well. He reduced his milk intake almost to half. I tried to introduce solids for few weeks but he didn't like them and i didn't force him. He is completely refusing bottle from past 1 month. We are feeding him in sleep. He was a big baby(10 pound) when he was born and he was nursing/taking bottle every 2-2.5 hours till 2 months old and he gained like 6 pounds in 2 months. All of a sudden he was refusing bottle and we visited lactation consultant and she said to feed in a quiet environment and it worked for a month. When he reached 4 months that's not working either. He use to drink half bottle when he is awake and remaining half we have to feed him in sleep but he likes to nurse and i continued because he's not starving. I was okay with it because he is drinking at least in sleep. Now he is not even taking 1/2 oz of milk from bottle he is completely refusing bottle and im a full time mom so i cannot breastfeed him until evening. He is not nursing from me too he will nurse for 5 mins at the max. Here is his current feeding pattern - first feeding would be around 9:30 am(4-5 oz bm) even though he wakes at 7:30am next may around 1 - 1:30 (4-5 oz bm), third would be 5 - 5:30 if he sleeps or whenever he sleeps may be 6:30pm (5 oz) his last feeding is around 9:30 pm and sometimes he takes 5 feedings a day(on a good day). He might nurse for 5 - 10 mins once around 2-3 am. This was his feeding pattern from past 2months there is no increase in his milk intake with his age before that i used to feed him in sleep twice so he used to drink around 35 - 40 oz of breast milk. Now from past few days he is skipping is last feeding and sometimes he drinks only 2-3 oz per feeding. He's drinking only 12 - 15 ozs a day and there is more than 12 hrs of gap from his last feeding to first feeding in the morning. Is this okay for him? I'm worried. He is a very active kid. He doubled his weight by six months but after that he didn't gain any and he didn't loose. He pees 4- 5 times and poops once a day. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
