Sounds like separation anxiety and is perfectly normal. Can you baby wear? That way she can still be held by you and you can get done what needs to be done.

If you need to put her down to get stuff done for a bit that is one thing and if she is w/ your mom in the other room and still crying that is also one thing... but I wouldn't set her down and just let her cry alone for that long.

Maybe your mom can take her out of the house for short bursts to get you the quiet you need and help her learn that she can be OK w/ your mom as well.

If she doesn't need changed, doesn't need food, isn't in pain, is by all other accounts okay... then let her cry. I understand it affects your job, but giving in to it will only keep her in the habit of doing it. If you need quiet to do your job, then you need to make a plan that will keep her quiet.

My mom comes by to help out, but the baby won't stay with her but a few minutes, I have tried working where she can see me, and where she can't see me, nothing works. When my mom has her she starts crying, and will cry for a long time, until I get her

She stops when I pick her up, won't let anyone else hold her, except Dad who works outside the home. I work from home, and this has rendered my performance at work. It's been going on for maybe three weeks.

Does she stop because you pick her up....or does she end up stopping of her own accord? And how long has this been going on?
