My daugher has now started having the most aggrasive tantrums. She hits, bites and screams. I have no idea how to deal with this, as it a completely new "persona". She's 7, is mostly non verbarl (the only word is mama) and is still in diapers. i sometimes feel that her frustrations come from the fact that she cannot communicate or express herself to us as she would like to. She is seeing a speech therapist. She is now going off on everyone at home, except her dad. She is a strong willed child, who has fought for her life through it all. We have seen great days and not so great days with her condition; and i suppose this is also one of those that we will get over. My question is for any parent whom their own child has gone through this phase of uncontrollable aggression? How were you as a parent able to not only control your child's temper, but your own frustrations? What activities can i engage her into, she doesnt have friends as she's not in school but at home. Could this also be the instigator? (that she doesnt have a social circle?). i would appreciate your feedback.
