I have a 7 1/2 year old little girl who has been through some rough times in her little life. She was diagnosed ADHD at age 5 after a traumatic event that happened to her at age 4 resulting in some PTSD. She has a lot of anger issues and lately I've been noticing whenever she is doing something that requires any kind of concentration whether it's school work, doing dishes or just putting things in her backpack her hands and just general appearance gets visibly shaky. It doesn't happen when she's just playing but I'm starting to think it's major anxiety. We have been on every ADHD medication there is and all of them give her meltdowns and anxiety. She got into a lot of trouble in school this year for being disrespectful, bothering others and things of that nature even though she soared academically. Her social skills aren't that great and she tends to lash out alot. She is very easily frustrated and angered and I'm starting to wonder if it's more anxiety which very well could have started over with the PTSD and they have just misdiagnosed it as ADHD. Has anyone else experienced anything like this with their children? We have been going to behavioral therapists and psychiatrists for almost 4 years now and it's getting to point of extreme frustration that we can't just figure it out once and for all and make her feel better.
