Hello everyone. This is my first post here, so I apologize if this has been discussed before.
So, I have this amazing little girl. She's bright, funny, and outgoing. She never meets a stranger and is always the one to strike up conversations with kids on the playground. She's also right in the middle of some huge adjustments. Her father and I divorced earlier this year, we move, AND she started a new school....my old school to be exact.
About 2 weeks ago, she told me no one would play with her. I emailed her teacher who advised me Chloe seems to be doing just fine and is always running around with somebody at recess. I decided to let it ride. Today when she came home, she again told me she didn't have any friends, was not able to sit with the girls from her class at lunch time because they saved seats for their friends, so she sits with the boys. And at recess, all she does is follow other kids around hoping they ask her to play. My heart just broke.
Has anyone been through this....and how did you handle it?
