My daughter is 8 months old, and EVERYTIME she goes down for a nap, she fights her sleep. I have her on a set schedule. I bathe her every other day in her tub, and the days in between she usually gets a wash down. This usually happens around 9pm, and shes down for the night at 10pm. But even when she hasn't really taken any naps in the day time, she still doesn't want to go to sleep at night. She's very "nosy" and has to see and hear everything going on around her, so I was thinking that maybe it was because she thinks she is going to "miss" something. Well, not the case. She used to be really easy to go down, but now she fusses and fights everynight. She also is up every morning for 6am. Does anyone have the same issues? Is there a way I can break her out of this cycle? I have been having some sleepless nights, and I just need some relief. THANKS in advanced.

for some kids yes. I bought a toy that does water sounds from target for less than $20. It was a little sheep but they have others. Another option is to run a fan in the room - it works the same way because it is white noise also.

thank you, I will try to read her a book and sing. Does the "nature" sounds work? (ie. ocean water, breeze, waterfall?)

Have you tried keeping the room dark and quiet so she has nothing to be nosy about? Maybe start bedtime routine earlier and add a few more cues to get her down since the routine isn't the same every night. (ie. bath) for example adding story time where she sits on your lap or lays in bed.

Sometimes, I don't think there is a true answer to it. I have a 9 month old that for some reason she will refuse naps all day long. She will pass out from exhaustion and wake 5 minutes later. She will pretty much keep her night time sleeping routine but the day can be hectic.
