My 9 month old gets a chest congestion sound during the day, after eatting sometimes. She had a cold a few weeks ago which mainly was a runny nose, she had the congestion sound when she was sick too.
Now It seems to have lingered. But only at some times during the day.
Is this common? She Seems totally normal and on the go as usual!

Try eliminating ALL dairy for a week or two. It can cause a lot of congestion. It may be allergies, but my daughter (11) was not tested as "allergic" to dairy, but when she eats it (and she loves it), she sounds like Darth Vader. It's been a 10 year struggle with her father, but we're about 90% dairy free with her. Be careful with soy, though, it's a natural estrogen- good for us, not so much for them. Go with rice milk, etc.

Is it after a specific food? If so, I would think it's a mild allergic reaction and you should really stop feeding it to her just in case the allergy gets worse. My mom's throat closes up if she eats bananas, it's very scary. It was milder when she was a very young child, got very severe through teenagerhood until she was in her 50s, and now it's not so bad again. (at the worst, it was so bad that even having a ripe banana in the house was enough for her to start feeling congested)
