My little girl has always had an excellent appetite. She is not overweight or anything but she has never had a problem eating either! She started eating baby food around 5 and a half months. She never really cared for 1st food so we went straight to the 2nd foods. She would eat a whole container of fruit for breakfast and then drink 2 to 3 oz of formula. She would do the same at lunch except instead of fruit she would do a vegetable and then at dinner the same but a meat. Between meals she would usually take a 4 oz bottle sometimes 5 oz. Within the last month or so it is so hard to get her to eat her food but she takes her bottle just fine. I am lucky if I get her to eat half the container of baby food now. I figured it was because she was ready for table food so I diced up some steamed carrots and sliced up some green beans and put them in front her and she wouldn't have anything to do with it. I also bought her some chicken and carrot filled ravioli and she wouldn't even touch it hardly. She also used to eat her puffs and little cheeto snacks like there was no tomorrow and now she hardly touches the stuff. I can give her a bottle though and she downs almost every bit of it. She still hasn't went over 4 oz of formula though..she has drank 5 to 6 oz only very few times. Sometimes I can get her attention on something else and as long as she is messing with something or something has captured her attention off the food she will actually eat it but I still canMt get her to eat over half the container. Can anyone tell me where my childs appetite went? Is this normal?
