9 month old son will only drink 4 5 0z bottles maybe 1 -7 oz

HI there my son is 9 months old and only seems to want 5 oz out of his bottle if im lucky he will have 6 or 7 oz from 1 bottle , he eats 3 meals a day along with most days he will have yogurt and cheese plus his juice and water im just wondering if someone out there can let me know weather are not 20-24 z of milk is enouph for him

This is totally normal, my daughter was the same at his age. Aslong as he is eating his food and drinking some of his milk he's fine.. He will be getting fuller off of his food and therefore he won't drink as much milk.

Thank you for your response ya I found it funny how he went from 4 8 oz bottles to 4 5 oz he's still very happy and has lots of energy =)

This is fine my daughter did the same as long as he is eatting calcium rich foods to substitute his milk then there in nothing to worry about. It does feel odd that your child does not want to drink that much milk and it took me a long time to get used to it. Medically there is no problem. A child from 1 needs 500mg of calcium to keep bones and teeth strong in most formula milk there is about 70mg per 3.5 ounces so your son is getting 480mg from his milk alone so the short fall is very small. Don't worry he is getting more than enough.
