Hi, My daughter will be 10 weeks on Tuesday. We have discovered she has Acid Reflux. Dr has put her on medication for this 3xs a day. I am strictly breastfeeding, however, her dr have us start to put cereal in a bottle with my milk. Since all these changes she has been very very constipated. She strains and cries of discomfort when she tries to go. We have tried the Karro Syrup and it seems the only thing to be helping is a suppository and when she does go its very soft and runny. I dont understand why she is having such a hard time pooping. I am off Dairy and soy becuase of all the issues she has been having and as an infant i could only drink soy and her father could not drink milk at all only juices. I feel bad for her, idk what will help or if its my milk? Can any help please. Thank you

My daughter is 2 but went through that as a newborn as well. Gripe Water and much breastmilk helped. We would lay her on the floor and put her knees to her chest and it helped her stomach flow. Also, A LOT of snuggles.

Well if you think it might be your milk then ask your doctor and set up an appointment for you AND her. I have 6 kids and 4 of them were allergic to breast milk or it was constipation, or diaria. Right now it is simple to stay on an "infant" brat diet. It includes soy milk or almond milk, Gerber rice cereal, and simple baby milk and food. I hope this helps but I am not a physician so I cannot prove it is an allergy or something like it. It could also be that she is lactose intolerant.
