My son has been on adderall for 8 monthes. He is having a really hard time with his weight. I have to force him to eat as the medicinemake him not want to eat. (Even before being on the medicine he did not eat a lot). I began making him eat before taking his medicine which he takes three times a day. This seem to work for a little bit. He would either stay the same weight ot gain a pound or two . It wasnt the best scenario but its better then him loosing weight. I've also tried a reward system where we would weigh in every week & he would get a reward if he gained any weight. i have also tried making him drink a milkshake every night. After the second night it became a battle to get him to drink one. In the summer we are outside all the time & very active but during the winter My son likes to play Xbox so he is not extremly active. He does play on various sports teams during the winter & they usually play twice a week. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make him gain weight or want to eat? Thank you in advance for all your advice.
