a little worried

I went to my first visit yesterday . i took teo firdt response test last week and recieved two positives. So i went to the obgyn to confirm. I was expecting to be 7 weeks +2 days... The Dr scanned me to find I was 5weeks and 6 days. He also said my sac should be round and wasn't round . he sat me and my boyfriend down in his office to explain that since I wasn't the size he expected and the way my sac was formed that I Can miscarry. He also explained that maybe I really am 5 weeks and 6 days which he says has happened and lead to a healthy pregnancy.

What I need to know is should I be extremely worried? This is my first pregnancy and I really don't want to go through a devestating miscarriage.

I agree with the other poster...take a deep breath and relax. It really is out of your hands at this point.
The due date calculation is a sort of guess...mine was calculated 2 weeks later than it actually was supposed to be because I ovulate earlier in my cycle than "normal" people. Everyone is different, every woman's cycle is different. If I had waited until the calculations said full term, she would have been almost 13 pounds. I was induced 2 weeks before my due date.
It is frustrating to wait things out but that is all you can do. I hope everything works out for you :)

Breathe and relax worrying will only add more stress to you. Which stress alone can cause a miscarriage.
If you miscarry you know there was something not quite right already. If you don't then you know you weren't as far along.
Calculation of due dates and how far along is based on general calculations. Also not all babies are the same.
So what is normal for 1 at a point in time is not necessarily true for another.
This is also true once they are born. some will hold head up, roll, sit, crawl, walk, talk sooner others later.
Just go with the flow if it works out yeah if not relax and do it again later.
