I have a son who is 3 years 11 months I have been told he has adhd with rigid behaviour I do not want to label my child he is to young to be diagnosed my pediatrician wants me to put him on medication so that it will help him I do not want to do that as he is so young and the medication has so many side effects
I have been trying everything I don't give him sweets, chocolates , soft drinks etc, and I tried the fish oil with omega 3 and that didn't work. I have been told that a naturopath might work they are all natural and may be able to help him naturally I am at my wits end daily life is a struggle for me and my husband. and putting him to sleep at night is a nightmare he wont sleep without me i have to go to sleep with him and then I leave his room but the last week he has been waking up at night and wanting me to go back to his room so he can sleep again.if he doesn't find me there he cries for me. any suggestions would be appreciated...

I hope I'm not too late. It has been a few years.
Do NOT put your child on medication.

You were right to be skeptical. Do you know what "science" is behind a psychiatric label? A hand vote. These guys, the psychiatric association, get together and vote on diseases. "is this a disease? raise your hand if you agree". That's the science. And the drugs children are put on are incredibly dangerous and mind altering. Over 90% of all mass shooters(such as the wave of school shooters) were on psych drugs.

Children are more likely to commit suicide on these drugs than off of them. and so on.

Well sugar has an equal effect on non-adhd and adhd. But try coffee with very little sugar ( even like a frozen coffee blended) see if he calms down. If he does, yep it is adhd.

my oldest son has adhd, in 3rd grade we started coffee. It was the best thing we ever did for him. He drank a cup in the morning with breakfast then had some after lunch at school. I guess some kids found out he was drinking coffee and it became this huge ordeal. The school told me it wasn't allowed. Yet, they have pop machines in the hallway. By then the teacher was fully on my side and allowed him to drink it in her room while the other kids did recess.

Mind you we only did this after traditional medication had in some ways failed us. The medications that helped made him ill in one way or the other. We had kidney function problems because of medication.

I have not tried giving him Caffeine I think that might make him even more hyper I used to give him chocolate and that does not work it makes him more active whatever he eats with sugar is not a good idea....

Instead of avoiding caffeine, have you tried giving it to him?
In a "normal" body things like caffeine make the body energetic. In ADHD it does the opposite. Which is why they use medication that in a normal body acts like speed. Try giving him coffee or chocolate and see if it helps.

Hom going to bed that way has nothing to do with ADHD and is a common problem many people face. I always suggest that parents make the kids sleeping area more fun for the kid. New bedding, cool glow in the dark things on the wall, night lights.. what ever you need to do so he thinks his room is the best ever.
