I have been fighting for disability for my son since 2012. My son has ADD/ODD he has set fires harmed others and animals. He has been proven incompetent by a Juvenile Judge. He Has a Learning Disability. On a IEP program in school. On Vyvanse and Intuniv. I had him checked in to the hospital a few months ago and was to there is nothing they can do because its a reoccurring issues. He has been in and out of counseling since 2005 he was only 5 years old. I received a denial letter saying my son has these issues but not severe enough. I do have an attorney and filed for a hearing back in oct 2013 still no word of a hearing. Is there any help out there for my son.

The lawyer will probably be the most helpful and if he can prove your son has been disabled for a number of years you can get the back payments. Is there something disability will offer your son besides financial and health benefits?
I am surprised you haven't had a hearing yet, it should not take over a year! Call the lawyer and ask him to look into it for you.
