I have had my son on vyvanse and abilify together and it did not work for him so they put him on concerta and it will work if taken, it helps him in school to concentrate, but sometimes he gets really figitty and screams so loud that I cannot control him and he is a smart kid I am just tired of getting calls from his teacher when he does not feel like doing anything in class knowing that he took his medication.

My boy was on Concerta, I found it relly good compared to some of the other things we tried. My boys a smart kid to but some days nothing is going to go well. I used to be called at least 3 or 4 times a week for different problems the school was having with him, it used to drive me crazy as there was nothing more I could do. He is 17 1/2 now and refuses to take medication. He is in his last year of high school and I still get phone calls, mostly about rudness and not applying himself. I dread parent /teacher interviews, I have begun to say to the teachers (as my boy is mature) "I own the child not the behaviour". Best of luck, I know how frustrating it can be.
