Hi, I am personally not a mom but I do have ADHD. I am in my 3rd year of college going for a major in film and media studies. When I have to watch movies for homework yes I'm not kidding it is homework. But when I watch them by myself I can't finish them I will stop halfway through the film though I am enjoying it. This just happened a few hours ago and I had to stop because I felt anxious as in my heart was racing and I couldn't sit still. But when I watch in the class room I can finish it because i really can't leave. And when I watch a movie with a friend I can get through it but it's because I don't want to be rude and so I ask my friends to each movies with me so I can get my homework done. Right now I am taking the off brand of concerta taking two pills that are 36mg each. Is this something that is needed to be moved to a higher dose or switch medication at my community college I was fine I was making really good grades I made only 3 C's 3 B's and the rest were A's. But now that I'm at the University of Kansas I have passed all my classes but I feel over whelmed with only 4 classes. So I don't know if the higher dose would help me or I need to be on more medication. I am about to turn 21 and I'm not a person to go out and drink so it's not partying that is the problem and school is the most important thing to me. So I want to know what you guys think I have talked to my mom and she told me I should talk to my doctor which I am in a week but I wanted others opinions on those who have children with experience though I'm sure they are younger.
