My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and Conduct disorder at 4. She is nearly six and we have tried pretty much everything, from charts to diets to routine and nothing has helped and now that she is at skool it is only getting worse. She is in week 6 at school and i have already had calls from the principle and letters sent home. I always said i didnt want the medication for her but i feel like my relationship with her is getting worse as i find myself not wanting to spend time with her coz all she does is swear at me and yells at me all the time, no matter what i do. I told the doctor that i wanted to put her on medication and he said no that i have to be stronger and keep goin at it. Its been 2 full on years and i just dont know what to do anymore

Ok, I understand she is apparently ADHD, but why is she swearing at you? She has to be getting this from somewhere. Children don't just suddenly learn to swear, the behaviour is being modeled to them. ADHD children don't just suddenly have swear words in their vocabulary. So where is she getting this from? So basically, my comment here is the same as would be with any parent - somewhere here there is some behaviour being modeled. Maybe she is displaying behaviour that is related to her ADHD too, but she is also mimicking someone's behaviour. Find out who, and nip it in the bud.
