ADHD and school-age kids

Hi Ashley, thanks for posting! I so totally wish I could do that. Just setting the timer for 15 minutes and getting him to focus on schoolwork is a HUGE undertaking, which usually ends with me wanting to pull out my hair. I can repeat: this is the letter Nn, show him how to write it, even let him write it. Then literally 30 seconds later he has no clue what letter it is. It's in and out of his head as soon as he's done saying it or writing it. The whole time he's fidgeting, looking around, picking up things from the table, and saying "I don't know" in response to everything. There is literally no way he would benefit from home schooling. I have heard great things from others though, so I hope it makes a difference in your child's learning/behavior!! Good luck!!!

I have been wondering the same thing with my 4 year old. If you are really worried about your son. I would see about home schooling him if you are a stay at home mama. I will be using this program called Able To Teach and it qualifies me to be my daughters teacher and i can home school her until her behavior improves and she is a little more disciplined.
