How safe is Ritilan? Can a adhd child just be managed to improve quality of life or is medication the only way to go at the end?

I have a child with ADHD and one with ADD. They were not medicated until they hit 5th and 6th grade. Elementary teachers tend to be more patient and more understanding of children however, each child is different and each child functions differently with or without their meds. It is very important that you talk with their teachers and listen to their opinion. You don't want the other children in the classroom to lose out on their education because of your child. I hope I helped.

I know that red food dye can make things a little chaotic for ADD children. I take my children off of their meds in the summer time. I still really monitor what they eat and I am trying out this summer on some juices that are suppose to help with their focus. I know my youngest who is ADHD has a terrible time after ice cream so I have really know my limits. Ask any questions you want and I promise I will not be offended.

Hallo Melly

Her teacher and principal feel that they want to evaluate her for a while to see how she copes without medication. Tamarah is 7 and maybe I should just watch her for the rest of the year and discuss it again with the teachers. Tamarah has just changed from a goverment school to a private school that works with the ACE schooling system. The class is now 12 instead of 30. Will look at her diet as well and omega 3 and 6 oils. The Adhd is a brand new situation for us as a family and any info is great. Thanks Melly.
