ADHD: Has anyone else limited processed foods, preservatives and dyes and how has this affected your child's behavior?

I have noticed better behavior and more ability to focus with my child since we limit sugar and processed foods. Recently ran into a mom who said her son does better when he doesn't have red dye. Welcome any thoughts, opinions or success stories regarding this issue!

I have a family member and had students who all did much better with an improved diet.

They called it eating food, and not food like stuff

Red dye was a big one, but so was Trans fats - sugar and gluten ... so many things have sugar, corn suryp, artifical sweeteners, trans fats, gluten .... but the label won't reflect that. You have to learn to read labes very carefully ... or just stick with actual food and skip the food like stuff

Adding omega fatty acids to the diet was a help too

It makes sense, our bodies were not made to handle this stuff, our livers can not filter out the toxins fast enough to keep up ...
