ADHD has consumed our lives. My son has started junior high and is struggling at school. He doesn't complete assignments, and when he does, he doesn't turn them in. This is so frustrating as parents! We have sat him down numerous times about checking his PowerSchool to see what homework he has and the possibility of failing. We tell him that we can help him, but only if he is willing to want the help. If he forgets a paper at school we can pull it up on the computer. Almost all homework is accessible via the computer. He now has the "I don't care" attitude with most things regarding school. We have extra help in classes for him and an after school tutor program 2x a week that has just started. We are at our wits end. He won't get up in the am until 5min before the bus arrives, which leaves him no time to eat, pack a lunch and gather his school bag together. After school, to do homework, forget it! He is so frustrated and just shuts down with attitude. Please help...feeling frustrated, confused, upset and everything else!! ADHD just really sucks!!
