With support from my ex-husband, his then girlfriend, and my dear family, I proceeded to adopt my son's baby. His mother couldn't keep him, and my son was 17. By the grace of God I took my grandson home at 3 weeks old and raised him the best I could as a single mom. He is 9 and he knows I'm his grandmother, but he calls me mom. The adoption was final when he was 3 years old.
Does anyone have problems with an ex-husband and his new wife insisting the biological dad step up to the plate and be a real dad? My ex and his wife are driving me nuts. They want to change everything and have my son take over raising my grandson. I said no and they are putting pressure on my son to ignore me and be a dad. They act like I'm the one being difficult and unreasonable.
The adoption is final. My son is welcome to come over and visit and spend as much time as he wants with my grandson, but he cannot and will never be able to raise him. He's being such an ass (my son that is) lol
Hey, how should I handle this?
