I'm nearly 42 and my husband is 47. I have no children, he has 3 grown up children ages 17, 21 and 24. We cannot have our own children as he's had a vasectomy so we are just starting the process of adoption and have suggested a child of around 4-6 years. I'm scared stiff but also so excited at the prospect of being a Mum. Only one thing that worries me - am I doing all this too late in life?! Will I be able to cope having not much experience of kids and will he or she feel he has an old mum or dad?!
