Adoption - Yes or No?

Hey all, I am 16 and expecting, but I am confused about what I think is best for my little Peanut. I remember when I found out, I was so excited but then my thoughts went from adoption to abortion to keeping it to abortion to keeping it to adoption and so on. My dilemma is that, I am still not sure, and I am conflicted between adoption and keeping Peanut, because I am not sure what is best for my child. I have spoken to my bestfriend about this, but I needed different perspectives and has been wondering if anyone has gone through this and what decision you made and how you came to that conclusion. Thanks heaps guys! :)

if you have a good sport system you could keep peanut but if you dont its going to be hard. i suggest seeing a councilor and educating yourself on whats to come you give up alot as a teen to be a parent...

I would suggest getting in contact with an adoption agency that does birth parent counseling. You will probably go back and forth even after baby is born and you have followed through on whatever decision you made. A birth parent counselor will help you through your journey. They will also help you look at reality and try to help you sort out your emotions from what is best. Sometimes those lead you to the same path and other times they do not. Most agencies do not charge for birth parent counseling no matter what decision you make. They are there to help you sort through things and then get you connected with resources for whichever road you decide to travel down. There will always be the "what ifs" and the "this worked for so and so" and "this did not work for so and so" What you have to decide is what is best for you and your baby.
