I've realized I'very been emotionally abused because of her SLOW verbal abuse she has inflicted on her father and I over the years. I've had to go No Contact with her. Are there any other moms out there, so we can support each other, that are dealing with the same problems with their adult kids? She also married a narcissist. I am missing out on knowing my beautiful little granddaughter, but I'm at peace with it as I've given the problem to God for his supernatural healing. I know I am not alone out there.

Thank you Connie and Raye. My daughter is textbook...and as I'm gaining more educated (there is so much out there on the subject) I see also how a psychopath title can also be added, or even malignant narcissism. This is the second time I've been given the silent treatment. The first time I almost had to admit myself into a hospital for the pain she put me through over NOTHING. She's nuts!. She's a liar, manipulator, and has no empathy. I can no longer trust her anymore, either. And this last time her verbal abuse and brutal thing she did to me left me with PTSD. I've been coping with help of family, friends and my church. Are there any other women out there who have a daughter like mine? I know she keep playing these emotional games with me,and even use my granddaughter as a tool against meach by not allowing me to see her, which she has already done.

Coni is right. Just because someone is self-absorbed doesn't mean they have narcissistic disorder. It's very sad if your relationship with your daughter has gotten to the point of no contact. You should not allow abusive behavior. And sometimes you do need to get away from the negativity.

There are people who are narcissistic and people who are full on narcissists. Make sure you aren't assuming she has a personality disorder because it's a very intense condition you are accusing her of having. If she is merely selfish and manipulative, this could be overcome if she is not a narcissist. If she is actually a narcissist, my condolences because there really is nothing to be done other than to cut her out of your life or spend the rest of your life sucking up to her and kissing her butt in order to keep her from being abusive towards you.
