Hi All,
Recently, I remarried and my very selfish 30 year old daughter has decided to do her acrobatics again by getting mad because I won't babysit just 2 days after I got married. She's got a career, makes decent money after being in the military but yet blames me for everything going wrong in her life. Well, I finally put my foot down and refused to play her game and now we are not speaking. Is it wrong because actually I do t care if 5 years passes without my speaking other. I'm just fed up.
I could use some advice.

Thank you Becca and Michelle,
At this point I'm done being her scape goat for everything that may have gone wrong in her life. I'm ready to live and be happy too. I love her but quite frankly if she never speaks to me again, I'd be just fine. Tired of being emotionally destroyed by her. She's gonna be 30 this year.

Family situations can be a real challenge. Have you talked with your daughter about how you are feeling? My daughter-in-law and I had some difficulty at one point in our relationship, and we sat down to talk about it. I didn't realize she was feeling guilty about the way she had treated me and she didn't know how to fix it. I am thankful for our restored relationship, but we both have to work at it. Communication is key! I hope you will work on your relationship with your daughter. Family is important.

I agree with what you are doing.
Obviously she is used to you doing what she wanted all the time and doesn't like it that you actually have a life that doesn't involve her.
Maybe write her a letter explaining that while you love her, you don't appreciate the way she is treating you. You are allowed to have your own life that doesn't mean you are at her beck and call.
