Advertising?

I can see from your posts that soliciting is highly frowned upon. I was hoping to be able to pay for advertising on your website. For the last 15 years I have provided the entire Northern Virginia with professional in home drum lessons. Your demographic is exactly what I'm looking for, and in home drum lessons may be exactly what some of you moms are looking for as well.

I'm so sorry, I thought that's what this forum was all about. You don't pass down car seats after your child outgrows them? You don't use this forum to post items that can be used as hand-me-downs? I had no idea that offering something for free was soliciting. So sorry, will never post again

What part of international forum didn't you understand?
You are soliciting and at least 2 of us that responded are on the other side of the world!!! I know you are saying it will be free but it's still soliciting.

Thanks for your replies and advice, ladies. I found the right person to get in contact with and they sent me a marketing kit. In the meantime I have a junior drum set that is burning a hole in my garage. Would anyone like a junior drum set for free? Can meet you at mutual location like Starbucks.

I agree with Jodi's last comment. Being an international site you would be wasting your money.
Advertise locally.

Also, you could try the Contact Us link. That has options for an enquiry about advertising.

I'm going to be honest, though, this is an international site, so while there are 10 million or so members, many are not potential clients, even though you are likely to be paying for exposure to 10 million "potential clients".

You may be better off advertising more locally.

Thanks for your help. Popsugar is some fancy global entertainment advertising business, I do not think they offer advertising on your site. I will try your suggestion later when I finish teaching.

Daniel, Other than clicking on the "advertise" link, I'm not sure what to tell you. Contacting the "community management team" may prompt a response from them, but no guarantees.

Popsugar are the owners of this site, so that is who you have to contact to advertise.

Sorry, was not trying to solicit. Had no other way to contact anyone. The link for advertising at the bottom of the page is for "Popsugar", it is not for advertising on your site. Either way I appreciate your response, and the lesson of what is considered "soliciting" these days.

Try the advertise link down the bottom of the page. But technically, by even telling us what you do you are soliciting.
