Advice needed for transitioning from a one to two child family

I am seeking advice from the mum's out there who have successfully transitioned from a one child family to a two children family.
I have my second child due early next year and need to start preparing myself and my first born for the new member of our family.
Any recommendations, tips, ideas or informative blogs and / or books would be appreciated.

INclude your eldest in the pregnancy. Let them know that they can be mommy's helper, and that you will need that help. Be positive about it.
When baby arrives, DO NOT exclude the eldest. Let them be involved.

My eldest was 3 when brother was born. He knew all along that he was going to be a big brother, that it was a privilege and a responsibility that was important. He got to help with the baby immediately after birth, and was my 'watcher' (if I had to pee, etc, brother would 'watch' the baby in my full view)

He was a great brother. Mainly because we made him feel as important as the baby, and let him be involved.
