Talk to your doctor. I had a postpartum hemorrhage and needed a blood transfusion, I also had a 3rd degree episiotomy with my first, I asked my doctor what the chances of it happening again and she told me that PPH is very rare (in my case it was caused by the 3rd degree epi). Now that I'm pregnant again, I asked my doctor/midwife (different than who delivered my first). She told me that the hospital will be notified about the previous experience and will have everything right there and ready for a 'just in case'. I haven't delivered yet, but I trust my doctor. My family nearly lost me. It would have ended up my husband would have had to raise our daughter alone.

I re read your post...dropping uterus..is that uterine prolapse? Blood clots can form because of that. I'm not a doctor, so I would talk to a doctor about your concerns. In my case, I can have more children, no one is sure if its going to end the same way with PPH.
