This is my first baby that has made it past first trimester. Second baby that I have conceived, so you can guess how much experience I have with this. How can I sleep better? Either he lays on my left side and causes hip pain or I can't find myself sleep able. I have a history of severe insomnia, its only worse now with a tired feeling. How can I solve this problem to feel rested?

It's really hard because you have history of insomnia. Try drinking hot tea before bed and soaking feet in lavender Epsom salt. And using lavender lotion. It helped for me if not Try sleeping on a pull out sofa
On my last month of pregnancy I was only able to sleep on the sofa or couch
Sorry hope it helps

I find sleeping on my right side helps, though its not as much as I would hope. My back against my fiancé helps me sleep sometimes. It brings comfort.

I have tried using shea butter lotion on my skin, or hot decaffeinated green tea, but nothing helps so far. I will stay up reading a novel for hours, just to tire out myself, if at all possible. I will try the Epson salt though, thank you for the advice. I feel like I haven't slept in days sometimes. :I
