sometimes i find that my 4 year old has a hard time adjusting to which house he is at his dad and i are divorced and are trying shared parenting and we are a little more strict and as a mother ive tried not to baby him as much anyway here lately hes tested me to see if he can not listen to me normally he will stomp up the stairs and cry at this point he is very sensitive and emotional so i try to understand but when he pushes to hard or talks back i do spank him now this isint very often maybe once a month but it seems to change his direction and it only takes one time so i dont feel bad because personally as a child i was spanked and it scared me straight

I could never imagine spanking my daughter...
I can't even imagine her face if I would do that. They are just children and so innocent.
If you feel like spanking them I would just leave the room for a little breather and go back and talk to them. My daughter is only 1 and I already practice explaining my reasons for saying ''no'' or removing her from a situation. I know she doesn't understand but I do it anyways. She often has fits already...lol... but I calm her down this way by hugging and kissing her and talking softly.
Please don't hit your children.

I've never had to spank my child and they are well behaved for the most part. Positive reinforcement works really well. There are better methods then spanking but without knowing the ages of the children it's difficult to make them.
