My son will be one year old in about two weeks. I havent introduced him to whole milk yet. When should i do it and how much should i give him? He has always had formula. I do plan on taking bottles away once he turns one. Any advice? :)

I did it the same way that Jaime did, although I did take the bottle away as soon as my daughter was done with formula. If your son is already capable of drinking from a sippy cup, there's no reason wait any longer. I just threw the bottles out and never looked back.

the advice everyone gave me was to start out with a ratio of one ounce of whole milk to three ounces of formula, and go up a little bit once a week.

as for taking the bottle away, don't do it all at once. what we did was get a sippy cup with two different kinds of nipples, one that was similar to a regular nipple and one that was similar to the spout on a sippy cup. our daughter likes the ones with handles. we used the one similar to a nipple for a little while and then switched to the spout-like one, and after she got used to that we got her a real sippy cup, and that's all she drinks out of now. we started when she was about six to eight months, and she's a year old now.

hope this helps!

I also did it like Jaime did. I also pulled the bottles earlier and just gave milk/formula in a sippy cup.

That is what i did with my daughter when she turned one. It worked for her. She did fuse and cry but she adjusted pretty fast. Im debating wether im going to do the same with my son. I think its more of a comfort thing.. Bc he takes the bottle to nap and sleep at night.. But they are both totally different.
