I am allergic to all hormonal birth control and condoms. They wont give me an IUD because of reactions to other birth controls that remain in the vagina. Does anyone have any ideas on what me and my fiance can do? We aren't ready to be popping babies out every year.

Change underwear regularily. Don't do anything until the areas feel fine again. It would take me a week to feel better.

you can buy a small cheap pack of non latex condoms. If you are like me you should notice a reaction immediately. You don't even have to have sex just experiment with it in the bathroom to see if it causes anything. Latex allergies can get worse with use. I never reacted, then started feeling weird, to a few months later burning the moment we started anything and swelling for the next day. The only condom that works for me is non latex and I also can use spermicide. I hope they get it figured out for you.

Okay thank you! So I bought the Lifestyle Skyn condoms they are made with Polyisopreme which is apparently a lab created latex with no cross contamination. They are advertised and non-latex condoms. The reasoning behind this is apparently because people aren't usually allergic to the latex but other cross contamination from the gathering and manufacturing process. So far no redness after rubbing it on my skin but a little tingling which could be normal. I hope these work! Thank you so much for your responses!

I tried rubbing latex condoms on random places and within an hour I would have a rash. We are picking up non-latex today but I am still sore from the last time my hives all popped and have not healed completely. Any tips on how to deal with the wounds?

That's the thing. I don't know if it is the latex or the lubricant on them or the spermicide and I can't get in to test for allergies until March 31st. I am in constant pain from this. It is becoming a huge problem. I have been burning for days, the hives are not just around my vagina but my back, arms, chest and face now. I have an autoimmune disease and I know this can cause me to develop allergies to things randomly. I have used latex condoms before with now problems but now when I do it gets really bad. This is the same brand as we used previously but a different box and I wonder if there is something wrong with this one.
