Almost 38 weeks--discomforts

Almost 38 weeks, 17 year old teen mom first time baby. She's facing posterior and already head down. Lost mucus plug pieces-- jelly clear two days ago in toilet. Pooping for two days. Sex two days in a row. Extreme uncomfortable back pain. Deep pressure in vag area. Squeezing in that area once in a while. Hard stomach pretty much all the time. Cramps the past days. When my back hurts I shower, but 5 minutes later hurts again. Laying down drinking water it still hurts. Been extremely tired these days and peeing every 10 minutes. Should I head to l&d?

Also to get her to face the best way get on all fours as much as you can. let gravity try and turn her around. Going into labor with baby posterior is usually a lot more painful.

It doesn't sound like labor to me. It sounds like pregnancy. Have fun dealing with the next few weeks :) The reason I say this is "hard stomach pretty much all the time" When in labor you will get extra painful and that is when the stomach will harden. The pain will last a few minutes and then you can breath. If this happens in regular intervals of less than 10 minutes then you call L&D. Constant pain isn't the same as labor.

If you actually lost your mucus plug, can't be sure if you did or not, you want to refrain from having sex. If you begin to leak fluids constant, even if a slow drip, put on a pad to catch some of the fluid and call L&D. Anionic fluid smells like plastic. I know it's hard to know if you peed yourself or it's anionic fluid but thats why it should be a steady flow.

Right now you should be seeing your doctor ever week. Talk to them about any issues you are having.
