Almost 4 yr old refusing to go to bed!

My daughter will be 4 in June. She is the middle child. Our youngest was born 6 months ago.

Recently she started to refuse to go to bed or take quiet time. At the door asking to come out, go potty, or whatever she can to stay up. It takes an average of 3 hours for her to fall asleep. She has no toys in her room. She does not take naps. She tells me she's very tired every night. Bed time is consistant. Always.

The only thing I can think of is the toddler bed. Maybe it's time to get a twin bed? But I'm looking for ideas either way. I can't survive much more on the very little sleep I get now ...

I think you may be right about the bed.
We had this same issue with our son and we came to realize that he was waking himself up because he would go to stretch out, or turn over and whack some part of him on the bed rail. he just didn't have enough room to be comfortable.
We got him a larger bed (full size, actually) and never had another problem. He sleeps splayed out like a starfish.
If you do get a regular sized bed, take her with you to pick out sheets and a comforter that she likes....It may make it more special to her and encourage her to want to go to bed, if you make a big fuss over 'what a big girl' and she gets to pick her 'special' bedding.
Good luck!
