Im 39 weeks and three days pregnant.

I woke up this morning at 4:00 with incredible stomach pains.

They are so bad that ive thrown up twice because of the pain.

Its a constant pain, that will get worse and then die down, but doesnt completley go away.

I also have the runs and feel very achy..

I am not sure if these are contractions or not, because my stomach always feels very tight.

i am also experienceing random spurts of back pain.

the stomach pains get worse every ten or 15 minutes, and last a couple minutes and then go away..but im still in discomfort, and in pain just not as bad.

could these be signs of early labour?

Yes, they could. Have you lost your mucus plug or had any bloody show?

Yes, sounds like it. I remember with my first it was alot of stomach pain and diarrhea, compared to the coming and going expected timed contractions, and then with my fourth the constant pain/diarrhea was happening not in early labor but for the home strech 7-10 cent, so you might want to get to the hospital. Haha when I showed up, b/c I didn't have the normal timed contractions his head was popping out, lol. Good luck today!

Sounds to me like it could be. I would give your doctor a call or the birthing center and see what they want you to do. Good luck and Congrats!

Yep. Go in. When in doubt - get checked out. Hey - sounds like a slogan. That was not intentional.

Sounds like your having early labor... I'm due to have my third child in 5 weeks or less. I've been told that if you are throwing up and/or have the runs with pain that you go to hospital because your probably in labor. Well for my case I go as soon as I think I'm in labor I was told not to wait until my water broke. Good Luck! :)

At my last appointment my doctor told me not to call him, but to just go to the hospital if my water breaks or if the contractions are less then 5 minutes apart, so im making sure i time them :)

I would say yes... you are having contractions. I remember laying in the hospital in immense pain throwing up. You can stay at home until your water breaks if you can stand the pain. And some women's water does not break on their own, so you may want to call your doctor. Good luck and Congrats.... you are going to be a mommy very very soon!
