Geneva,

First, did I read right that you have a 19 y/o, 13 y/o and 17 m/o? YOU are a saint! That in itself could say a lot - having a baby not too long ago. After having my children, who are 17 y/o, 15 y/o and 14 y/o, my gyno told me our bodies go through changes with each pregnancy and delivery that we can't seem to understand. I just finished having a hysterectomy that began when I was 36. I just turned 40 last month when my ovaries were finally removed. I can tell you what my gyno told me when I questioned menopause. Most women, who do not smoke or drink, do not go through menopause until 50 - 52. This was concerning to me because I was about to go through a forced menopause and I was trying to hold out until mother nature took over. I too started my cycle at an early age, 11 years. My history is I have endometriosis with severe bleeding and pain. I was told that peri-menopause does start in our 40s. Our hormone changes begin about this age and hot-flash stages come and go. I do not show symptoms of menopause at this time except at night when I get hot. My doctor said that is normal and no concern at this time. My suggestion would be to go to your gyno and discuss this. Every woman is different and while some may exhibit some of the same symptoms and such as you, it could be a stress factor, or your hormones might need to be regulated, or heaven forbid - eeeek- you may have another wee one in the oven. I truly hope this helps and I wish the best for you during this time.
