No. It is 100% impossible to spoil an infant. You know what it means when your baby gets older and still wants to be held all the time? They love you and they need you. THAT is not spoiled. It's not a 'bad habit' to need your mother. ♥

You can't spoil a baby my dear, in my opinion, mother in laws think they know everything and can control you especially with the first one, trust me been there. My second daughter slept on me for an entire year, she is adopted, massive trauma, addicted to cocaine amongst other drugs etc, she's fine, she sleeps in a bed, she never really slept in her crib, but she sleeps in her own bed and has since she was two years old, so whatever to your mom in law... You have a baby what is it the baby is supposed to be letting you do? Put her in a swing, or bouncy chair while doing dishes etc.. We live with our kids now to see them, not too long ago kids were to be seen and not heard.. balderdash... Just my opinion dear, I'm sure you are doing a great job, and you have instincts don't let her push you around and make you feel bad.. Honestly you can't spoil a baby, they need love and comfort it's called bonding... my youngest and I didn't bond well because of my mother in law always telling me what to do etc.. and I was a dummy and did what she said.. sometimes.. other times, i listened and either told her what I was going to do or just ignored her.... old people sometimes suck...
