I came across this article a couple of weeks ago, and found it a bit interesting so I thought some of you might as well.

I am not posting it to advocate one way or the other, or to start arguments, but it got me thinking about parenting style and that maybe there's not just one "right" way to do it. I always appreciate learning/thinking opportunities and I took a little bit from this article to learn from, so you might too.
Enjoy!

Financial success and " winning " isn't happiness that just goes to show by the extremely high suicide rates especially the fact it is higher among women .

A persons right to freedom and be able to express themselves as individuals is also important to well being .

I saw that too... I have mixed feelings about it. While I do agree that there may be no *one* right way to do things, I do think there are some choices that parents make that are clearly better than others. I definitely do not agree with a lot of the things in the article... and working in the mental health field, I do have concerns for some children who are raised this way. Obviously some children (like the ones profiled) are resilient and thrive, but I don't think that's the case for all children. Just my opinion.
