anterior placenta - is that normal?

I just had an ultrasound and it turns out I'm 10 weeks along, not 6 weeks like I thought. Surprise!

The ultrasound technician said the placenta was developing anteriorly. That means in the front, near my belly button, right?

Is that why I'm so much bigger now than when I was pregnant with my son, or is that just down to everything having stretched once so it's happy to do it again?

Could be a bit of both. You also probably won't feel the baby move as much because the placenta will cushion the kicks.

Congratulations in the new bundle.
