Anxiety over my 3 yr old starting school.

I am SAHM with one child. My husband suggested placing our son in a preschool this year at age 3. I had no intentions on doing this until he was 4 or even skip preschool all together. My mind changed because I realized my son rarely plays with kids his age. He is severely peanut allergic and we haven't found an adequate play date. We moved, so we aren't close to friends with children and family aren't around consistantly. I know that it would be healthy for him to play with children his age, So I found a two days a week program at a Montessori school. My problem is even though the school is peanut free I have such great anxiety over sending my son to school. I feel that if he freaks and clings to me I won't be able to drop him off. I cried just writing the registration check. Is there any advice for my situation?

He will be fine :) My daughter is 3 and I'm sending her twice a week. She wouldn't leave when the had the tour, so I know she's going to love it. Instead of thinking he's going to cry, take him up there before school and let him check it out. It will be great to make new friends for him and you! It's not a co-op is it?
