My little boy is 6 years old, and has some very big issues for his tiny little body. He has anger problems, anxiety, attention deficits, and learning disabilities. Though he has been diagnoses with ADHD, Bipolar disorder, Opposition defiance disorder, and Depression, I can't help but feel like there is more to his situation that they are not catching. I feel that it is a Neurological disorder which prevents him from retaining information when stimulated, and that it is causing the anger and anxiety, which would contribute to the learning issues. Every day is a struggle with my little one, as his mentality ranges from happy to extremely angry almost instantly. Some times the smallest little things can trigger an angry outburst. At times, he causes harm to himself and anyone else that wonders into the path of his fits. He has been pulled out of regular school and started on special after school classes, Medication has had no effect, we have tried everything in the books. Does anyone have any advice or personal experiences that could help me manage my little one more effectively? right now we tip toe around him, doing what we can to avoid out-bursts so that he can learn.
