Thanks for your advice. It was really helpful. I guess i am the one over reacting because all she really wants to do is play and hangout with her friend.

My boys have there girl friends not girlfriends come over and hang. There is no problem with it as long as they stay in the common areas of your home. It isn't a big deal unless you make it one. Why can't the opposite sexes be friends without it having to be more??

I would not let them in her bedroom by themselves but I really dont see a problem letting him come over and hang out in a TV room or Etc. with your supervision. If you start acting like this at 10 how are you going to be when she starts dating?

I really don't see anything wrong with him coming over to play. They are 10. If you deny her based on what you think now, she may go overboard and act out when she's older. As long as they are supervised I don't see an issue.

Sorry about that. I have a 10yr. old daughter wanting to invite a boy to come and play at our house. They are friends at school, but I didn't feel comfortable having the boy come over. So, I suggested we all meet at the park instead.
