Even my girl just turned 4 last year, and she is fan of Disney princesses so I hosted a Rapunzel theme party on her birthday. I think every little girl loves princess and aspires to be one. Pick any theme out of Disney princess be it Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow white, these are timeless themes. Plus, you will get numerous decoration and food ideas for the same. Here is the wonderful blog I read that helped me to stick by me theme so beautifully. Give it a reading…

My daughter just turned three at the beginning of May. We did her party at an indoor playground and she had a theme of High School Musical. I too am a single parent, it was nice at the indoor playground, because they had a party host and I was able to enjoy the party too. She had 10 kids, plus their parents.

Thoes are great ideas. Where should I take the children? I was thinking of going swimming but I think that I might have a better turn out if I do a BBQ instead. At this point the party is more for the adults than the children. And my little girl is the oldest of all her friends, the other children are nearly a year or more younger than her. She is my first and only child and I would be doing the party solo- no spouce. Any suggestions? And many would be too many people to invite??

Thank you for your insight,

We just went to a princess party where everyone dressed in princess dresses. The cake was cinderella and the had costume jewelry lining the tables. We also are trying a tea party this year. They have a local shop that sells tea for little girls and they get to dress up and bring there dolls with them.

With 7 children myself, I have found that at this age it really doesn't matter as long as they r the center of attention. However, if you r like me, I just enjoy preparing it, sometimes getting carried away. My daughter is 3 also, and she LOVES Dora, I am sure you know who that it. So she had a Dora party, everything Dora. You could have everyone who comes dress like Dora, and if you have boys, dress them like Diego. I found a lot of party items that related to Dora, and of course the Cake must be Dora as well. Then again if you want to do something totally different. If you have a garden, deck or large room, fix it like a princess area, and have a tea party, with the mommies dressed to serve them. Have them dress up either before coming or after they get there, you could go out and get a lot of necklaces, braclets, hair bows, etc... & the mommies can be beauty salon. Of course, all of this is based on what my daughter likes. Think what your daughter loves the most at this age and build on that. Hope this helps.
