Any ideas? or thoughts?

So I have a question for you.. I work in the older infant room at a daycare and there is no separate nap room. The cribs are just in the middle between the eating area and the play area, they bang on the sides of cribs, move them around, find the TINIEST things on the floor and eat them, I just don't think they need to be in that area unless they are eating or sleeping.. but the director says that we can only put up a gate if there is at least 3 children sleeping. I want to know if that's true or if there's a way I would be able to somehow block it off.. And ideas or thoughts? our kids don't sleep because their friends don't let them. Wouldn't you want your kids to sleep?

Hi Whitney, it make sense to me that there should be a separate room for sleeping versus a room for eating and playing. Have you checked your local legal codes for daycare standards? That might help to see if the director is right or not.
